Thrifting, Cheap, Chunky, Statement(s).

I found this jacket thrifting a few months ago and took to the color and pattern.  It was during the doldrums of the winter doldrums so it added some much needed SPRING color to an otherwise black and grey palette. And since it snowed yesterday, yes snowed at the end of March, I wore it so my mindset was Spring even though the weather said otherwise..... Enjoyed my glass of  Shiraz too. :-)

You have to love Forever 21 for cheap thrills....in the form of rings in this case.

I learned yesterday that grilled cheese no longer comes cheap.  Its cheese and bread people.  (And yesterday spicy aioli). It should not be more than $5.  Just my opinion.

I adore this necklace.  I originally bought it with a certain outfit in mind but I can't help just throwing it on sometimes.

Neither Here Nor There.

Random shots.
Old School gym bag.

Ponyhair loafers. Loves.

Vintage Bag. DIY frayed edge button down.

Jeffrey Campbell x-on. Wish I'd gotten a size smaller.  Still brand spankin' new because they're too big.

Tags still on....after two years.  Have been too lazy to get it shortened.

The Incomparable Yves Saint Laurent

Chosen by Independent Fashion Bloggers as TOP 20 post

Ever since I came across a vintage YSL pussy bow blouse at Coco Couture last week, I've developed a new affection for him.  He was clearly one of the great masters of his time and his legacy continues.  His work stands the test of time.

Patterns and Sketches of Days Gone By.

As you probably know by now, I have a love of things vintage.  And lately I've taken to browsing old patterns and sketches.  Nostalgia.

.

So Elegant.

So 70's!

Need to find a skirt like this.

Loves. Wants.

I hear Billy Joel's "Uptown Girl" every time I look at the first suit. ;-)

I just love the ease of this dress.

The Most Beautiful Woman in the World. Always.

To say I certainly didn't want to be doing this post today is an understatement.  Elizabeth Taylor was one of my icons.  Her talent, beauty and wit made her a star but it was her humanitarian work for AIDS research that made the biggest impact.

Elizabeth, the star, was often overshadowed by her personal life and she was first to admit that she was ruled by her passions.  Nonetheless, I loved her.  Here, my tribute to her.  Elizabeth you will continue to inspire me.
