Watching Mildred Pierce for the first time this week I realized the allure that was Joan Crawford. Born in 1905 and signing with MGM in 1925, Joan was iconic from the start. Those chiseled cheekbones, alabaster skin and perfectly arched brows, she defined a time of pure glamour. She was THE glamour of her time.

You May Remember 'Sadie."

'Sadie' is the gem I picked up at an Alabama flee market a few months ago. I couldn't get enough of her intricate beading and sequins so who better to pair her with than Michael Kors in the form of a sequined tee shirt dress (which you also may remember from here).

And then there was ME.

As of recent, I've been reading and hearing all this chatter about "Take a chance. Take a chance! Without risk, there is no reward."  Well, I decided to listen.  I've decided to take this blog in a new direction (in addition to my other inspirations).  Yes the pathway for personal style blogs has been well blazed, but I always said I couldn't possibly.  I'm the total opposite of photogenic (at least I think so, hopefully you won't). Nonetheless, I'm going for it.  So here you go, my first 'personal style' post-  Let me know what ya' think!

I adore the idea and look of stacked arm candy. Pile em' on and go!  My favorite look being a chunky bold watch with a load of well, everything else.

"SUMMER."

Now that the oppressive heat has given us a slight reprieve, its a bit easier to turn our minds to fall without breaking a sweat just thinking about it.

But before we say farewell completely fashionistas, I thought I'd look back (ok I know summers not gone yet but...).  Of course if you've been following me, you know that I love to look back to the decades that inspire today's fashion in all its fabulosity.
