Fit for a Queen.

I truly believe that you can never really appreciate a designers work until you've seen it up close and personal. Sure you can admire beautiful photos in glossy magazines and online but to me, its all about the details and for me, they're best seen in person.

Last night, I got to do just that when I attended the Fashion Week Columbus (FWC) 2011 Designer Fitting at the German Village Society Meeting Haus. I was so WOW'ed! at some of the designers, I had to share....Just remember, in person, its so much better. That said, here are some of the sights I took in last night:

Nicholle Jones
(check out her spiked Fascinators!)

Didn't catch this designers name but the skirt caught my eye.

Lucio Vanni - FWC 11' Headliner
www.luciovanni.com & Saks at Polaris Fashion Place
A prime example of its sooooo good when you see it in person.

More Lucio Vanni.

Lots of Legs & a pair of Loubs.

And the gown I couldn't help but stare at.....
Cierra Cunningham
(forgive me Cierra, I've forgotton what you told me your married name was)

Last but not least-
FWC co-founders Dont'e J. Young-Rodriguez, Thomas McClure and yours truly.

Style Star- Giovanna Battaglia

People have asked, "If you could raid anyone's closet, who would it be?" Without even thinking, hands down, Giovanna Battaglia. The ever stylish and and W stylist has never worn an ensemble I haven't coveted. Never.

The jumpsuit that inspired this. Actually, I think I had mine first.....Oh well.....

Carine Roitfeld and Giovanna together? Fashiongasm!

Giovanna, if ever you decide to rid yourself of such delish clothing, PLEASE send them to me.  I'll even pay shipping!

Sunday Funday, Ebay Picks. Vintage Edition.

I love lazy Sunday afternoons when I have all the time in the world to browse ebay.....and sometimes that can (happily) take hours.

Here are my current loves:

Victor Costa Maxi dress

Loving the drama of the plunging neckline.
Find it here at Bustown Modern's store.

Another Victor Costa gem.

And if the silhouette and polka dots weren't enough, the back sold me.
Only 4 hours left!

This one.
Me, Me, Me, all day long. Slight obsession going on here.

Accessorize.
For a cool, rocker vibe.

Faux Fur Luxe Love.

And the one that got away.....
I'm still kicking myself about letting this go.
Diane Von Furstenburg plunging neckline jumpsuit.  Another goodie, (fabulous goodie) from Bustown Modern.

The Chilly Morning Air....

.....got me thinking about coats.  My favorite brand for them is Desigual. I discovered them last year and as I said in one of my very first posts, it was love at first sight. They do prints like nobody's business.

A few of my faves from Fall 11:

'Vida Real'

 'Geometry'

...kind of reminds me of Jimi Hendrixs' bandleader jacket

'Mina'

And my favorite from last year:

.....The eye says it all.

Fall Shoe Obsession.

Obsession doesn't quite sum up my feelings on this shoe. Such a killer 70's disco glam vibe...
Michael Kors mirrored platform heel $995

LOVE. At $139, I can't resist.
Vince Camuto 'Bailey'

Suede love.
Bebe 'Cleo' $159

I want. I need.
Jil Sander silk floral wedge (no price at post time)

Still a sucker for a great studded shoe.
Vince Camuto 'Malaya' $117

A shoe post with Mr. Louboutin? Then it wouldn't be a shoe post.
Christian Louboutin 'Trotitella' $835 <a relative steal for Loubs
