Sunday Mornings Equal Bill Cunningham

I finally got to see Bill Cunningham New York the other day and it didn't disappoint. It was nice to know about the man who provides my Sunday Morning reading.

If you don't know who Bill Cunningham is, well.......for over 40 years, on an almost daily basis, 80-something Bill hops on his Schwinn and rides though the city snapping photographs of the diverse fashion found on the streets of NYC. But Bill doesn't just snap anyone, you have to be special. If Bill snaps your picture, you KNOW you've done something right. Anna Wintour was quoted as saying, "We all stop for Bill." Coming from her, that's quite a complement as we know, Anna stops for no one.

Bill's photographs can be found in the Style Section of Sunday's New York Times. I read the Times for his feature alone. You should too.

Spotlight - Genoveva Christoff

I was hard pressed to name a favorite at Columbus Fashion Week's (FWC) finale show on Friday as there were really some superb designs catwalking. But one designer stood out to me even before the show. As I was writing The Runway Rundown for FWC, I stopped mid writing to email this designer about one of her designs. Meet Genoveva Christoff.

Born in Macedonia, Genoveva has conceptualized designs for Bloomingdale's, Ralph Lauren, Henri Bendel, Armani and other big names in the industry.

Fashionistas, keep your eye on this lady. I predict she's one to watch!

Stripes No Stars.

I almost didn't buy this dress.  There was a black & white one with thin stripes that I thought was 'just more me.'  Glad I decided otherwise.  I love this one.
